I first came to Wellington in 2020 after growing up in Sydney, Australia. What was supposed to be a trimester abroad quickly turned into a full move after I fell in love with the city. It also spurred a reset as I discovered a passion for interaction design - so I started my UX degree!

I’m in my final year now, and can’t wait for the chance to start working in the field. It’s a uniquely satisfying experience to identify users' problems and find creative solutions to amplify their experience.

I've selected four projects that have been incredibly meaningful to me during my three years at university.

I've chosen these particular projects because I feel they do a great job showcasing my dedication to understanding users, crafting thoughtful designs, and ensuring that the end product is not just functional but also user-friendly.

1. engoo redesign

For this project, we were given the challenge of developing a design that enhances Engoo’s tutor selection process by ensuring that users are able to select their tutors more meaningfully.

2. mindful spending concepts

In this project, we were asked to identify an area which we felt people needed to focus more on, and develop three concepts which would help people achieve this. I focused on finances, and the challenge of spending mindfully.

3. student connect

The brief for this assignment was to identify an aspect of the online university study experience that needs improvement. Through research, I found many students felt isolated in their studies. Student connect aims to facilitate conversation between students by prompting them to ask and discuss course-related questions.

4. amazon redesign

This was a personal project of mine. I’d noticed through some research that customers have mixed feelings about Amazon’s existing user interface. I wanted to challenge myself by reimagining Amazon’s iPhone app, using the guidance of both the positive and negative experiences reported by its users.
